DIVE4D

Science in Motion.

See. Understand. Improve.

Visualize the complete dive through space and time — from approach and takeoff to flight, entry and underwater recovery.

The DIVE4D concept

Turn coaching knowledge into something an athlete can see.

DIVE4D is a visual learning and biomechanics platform being developed at Trieste Tuffi. It transforms complex diving technique into a four-dimensional model: a 3D athlete moving through time.

The goal is not to replace the coach. It is to make the coach's lesson visible — phase by phase, angle by angle, above and below the water — so athletes can understand what happens in fractions of a second and learn how to improve it.

The coach teaches. DIVE4D makes the lesson visible.

Technology behind the dive

See the movement. Understand the mechanics. Compare the execution.

A first 101B reference model shows how Dive4D can turn one dive into a complete learning environment.

Complete movement

See the entire dive — not just the moment above the water.

Approach, hurdle, board compression, takeoff, flight, pike, opening, entry, rip-entry technique and underwater recovery can be studied as one continuous movement.

Anatomy & biomechanics

Understand what the body is actually doing.

Explore body position, joint angles, skeletal alignment, center of mass, rotation, velocity and force vectors from multiple viewpoints.

Compare & improve

Make the difference between reference and reality visible.

Overlay a real athlete with a reference execution. Compare trajectory, takeoff, rotation, opening, alignment and entry so a technical correction becomes something the athlete can immediately see.

Giulia Belsasso

Technical Director & Head Coach · Trieste Tuffi

Former Italian national-team diver. Ten Italian titles. International experience as both athlete and coach.

Dive4D is being shaped together with Giulia so that the visual model reflects how diving is actually taught: the positions, timing, technical language, common mistakes and corrections that matter on the board and platform.

The athlete becomes the center

From a generic reference dive to a personal learning record.

Dive4D is designed to grow into an athlete profile that follows technical development over time — not only competition results.

Designed for young athletes with privacy in mind. Public profiles can show selected achievements. Detailed measurements, coaching analysis and personal performance data belong in protected athlete / family / coach access.

For athletes and families

Understand how difficult the sport really is.

A dive can happen in little more than a second. To the eye, the correction may be almost invisible. In Dive4D, it can be stopped, rotated, compared and explained.

That helps young athletes understand the reason behind a correction — and helps families appreciate the precision, physical preparation, courage and technical knowledge required to perform the sport safely and competitively.

Founding partners

Help us build the next generation of diving education.

Trieste Tuffi is looking for 2–3 founding sponsors to help take Dive4D from concept to poolside use.

Support goes directly toward 3D development, biomechanics validation, video analysis, athlete profiles, content creation and the first working coaching tools used by the club.
